Web Technology, a leading global producer of test equipment for the packaged integrated circuits unveiled the next generation of turret test handlers. Called the 8824, it is designed for high speed testing with a high speed taper. The 8824 debuted at the Semicon Singapore trade show that occurred May 8th through 10th.
Along with increases in throughput, the 8824 also offers a motor driven test stage that is controlled by vision inspection. Based on the position of the pad edges, the test nest will be moved to offer the proper alignment with the device. This provides for significantly fewer chances of testing error and an increased yield rate.
With this important milestone, Web Technology plans to maintain its position as one of the leading turret handler suppliers, and reach an entirely new customer base due to the low cost and high productivity of this handler.
