WEB technology, Inc. was founded in 1982. We started out designing and building products to perform high reliability tests on Mil-Spec IC's.
Our first product was a complete line of Centrifuge fixtures to perform Acceleration Testing. Then we invented and patented a new Gross Leak Tester called the Vapor Detection Technique. This new method was approved by Mil Std 883C within 3 months of application. This "NIDŽ" technique finally allowed the automation of the Gross Leak Test.
Next came the Preconditioning Systems used with the Gross Leak Tester, a Bubble Detection System, and finally the Centrifuge. This completed our line of Environmental Test Systems.
During this period we developed numerous Gravity Feed and Pick & Place automation solutions for the NID Gross Leak Tester.
As the environmental market started to decline, we started getting more and more into automation. We did several handler projects for other companies and during one of these projects we discovered there was a need to automate loading and un-loading Burn-In Boards. The 4800 product line rapidly became the dominant product at WEB.
In 1998 the equipment product line was purchased by Aetrium, Inc. During the time we were Aetrium Dallas, we absorbed another Aetrium Division that primarily designed and built Turret Test Handlers.
In January of 2007, WEB Technology, Inc. re-purchased the equipment assets of Aetrium Dallas from Aetrium, Inc.
The key people that were with WEB in 1998 are still here and working hard.
